Classes Offered

                                                                Contemporary/ Lyrical

Offered to ages 7 and up, contemporary is a modern dance form which fuses modern dance, jazz, and ballet.  It is often compared to lyrical.  Lyrical is an expressive form of ballet, usually danced to mimic the songs lyrics.

             Dress Code: fitted dance wear,                       pirouette shoes, and hair in a bun

                                                      Hip Hop

Offered to ages 4 & up in various levels.  Focus is on the latest street styles of hip hop.  This class teaches rhythm, musicality, coordination, and age appropriate choreography.  This is an excellent class for high energy kids who want to take a fast and fun dance class.  Dancers are encouraged to push themselves to explore new movements and to move to intricate rhythms.  Dancers will continuously be learning new stalls and tricks.

                    Dress Code: Comfortable clothing, black dance sneakers, hair pulled back

    Technique

This is a non-recital class mainly for improvement of skill.  This class is for students that are striving to be the best dancers they can be.  The focus is to perfect different jumps, leaps, and turns. Team girls are required to take this class. 

 Dress Code: Fitted dance wear, hair in bun, dance shoes

                                                                          Dance Tumbling

Taught to all levels, this class differs from the average cheer tumbling class.  The focus is more on long lines and pretty extentions in cartwheels, aerials, front and back walkovers, and back handspring step outs.

 Dress Code: Leotard, hair pulled back, no shoes

                                                           Competitive Teams

By audtion only, our competitive dance teams are a way to make life-long friends and master skills, by gaining stage expereince and confidence. Offering mini team for 5-9 year olds, junior elite team for 10-14 year olds, and senior team for 14 & up. Each level requires more practices and technique than the one before. 

                               Jazz

These classes feature a concentration in jazz technique.  Through proper warm up, effective stretching, body isolations and floor work (incorporating center floor and across the floor combinations), each level builds on the previous one leading to greater understanding and proper execution of the many styles of jazz dance.  

   Dress Code: fitted dance wear, tan jazz shoes, hair      pulled back in tight pony tail or bun

                     Tap

Offered to all ages in various levels, tap combines the study of rhythm, precision, and fluidity of movement and style.  Tap dancing is an excellent way to increase coordination and develop musicality.

Ballet

Offered to all ages in various levels, including Tippy Toes for three year olds, ballet is the foundation of dance.  Every style of dance references back to ballet.  It teaches musicality, discipline, and poise. Body placement, flexibility, balance, alignment, strength, and techniques are achieved through barre and center floor work.  Ballet technique is essential for strength, power, and execution for each dancer.

      Dress Code: black leotard, skirt (optional), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in tight bun

Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves.  This is geared towards adults of all ages.
