Apryl Dotson

Dance Instructor

Hi everyone! I've danced as a competitive dancer for 13 years. I led my team as captain many years in a row. Competitive dance has always been my passion. I now have a beautiful daughter named Ivy, who has my whole heart. I also enjoy gardening! I'm so excited to be a part of this studio!

Pammy Wright

Student Dance Instructor

I've been dancing since I was 5 years old, and I love doing it so much! I started helping teach classes in 2016, and I love it. I am learning how to teach so one day I can be a dance teacher just like Miss Stephanie. This is my fourth year on the competitive team, and it's a lot of fun!

Hello! My name is Stephanie Hughes. Dance is not just a hobby of mine. It is a way of life!

Training dancers is my passion. I strive to make these girls and boys better than their own expectations. Choreographing the most unique routines is my purpose in this field!

I am a strong Christian believer, and I am blessed with the most amazing family: my husband, Robert, and four beautiful children--Hayden, Isabella, Madelyn, and Luke. I have lived in Waynesville almost my whole life. I entered the dance world at the age of three and was completely hooked on day one! I started competing with a local studio when I was in 3rd grade. I stayed there, competing with a team and in solos until my 8th grade year. In high school, I joined the competitive dance / drill team and quickly became the captain for my sophomore, junior, and senior years. That makes 10 total years as a competitive dancer myself.

I have taught dance at several local studios and have coached competitive cheer at two local schools. In 2006, I choreographed and trained Miss Ohio Teen USA as she made her way to the Miss Teen USA Finals, where she finished as 3rd runner up.

I recently formed a junior elite competitive team. They have been with me ever since, winning many awards for my choreography and their pure talent!

It has been my dream and my goal for the past 10 years to start my own competitive dance team and open my own dance studio.
I am so thankful that the time has finally come!

Natalia Retzloff

 Dance Instructor

Hi everyone! My name is Kamryn, and I've been dancing for 6 years. I have been on a competition team for 5 of those years. I love teaching all the kids that I have; they're all super sweet! I was the captain of my middle school dance team, and that really taught me a sense of leadership. This is my first year competing with Turn Out Dance Academy, and I'm loving it!!

Olivia Smith

Dance/ Tumbling Instructor

Hi everyone! I'm Olivia and I have been dancing for 16 years. Growing up I trained mostly in ballet, tap, and acro but have since been formally trained in all styles. I danced competitively at a studio for 14 years and for 4 years on my high school team.  I am now a member of the University of Cincinnati dance team! I have been fortunate enough to also train my acrobatic skills intensively as a gymnast for 4 years, as well as with a Cirque Production Company! I'm looking forwar to working with everyone on their acro skills and  beyond!!

Katie Coffey
Dance Instructor

I began dancing at the age of 3. My training has included Jeanie Moreland Theatre, Mason Dance Center, and All That Jazz. I began performing solos at the age of 5. My first solo was a tap to the song, "Singing in the Rain", and it took several platinum awards as well as first overalls for the tap division. I have gone on to get many more platinums and first over overalls for my tap solos. While I have been trained in and performed many different styles of dance including jazz, ballet, lyrical, acro, and musical theatre, tap remains my first love. For the past three years I have been teaching and choreographing ballet for a group of toddler aged students at my church.  I am actively involved in my schools competitive cheer team.  I am so excited to work with your students and be a part of the Turn Out Dance Academy Family.
